Findings of a new study claims that on average we are ingesting five grams of microplastic every week, about the same weight as a credit card. After one month of ingesting plastic, you’re up to 21 grams, the equivalent to an entire clothes hanger.

Dear Mother Nature, for centuries you have unconditionally provided for mankind and the animals we share this planet with, and you never truly ask for anything in return but care and love. The simple phrase of “I’m sorry” just doesn’t cut it. #Cyprus#cleanups#environment

From the 1950s to 2018, an estimated 6.3 billion tonnes of plastic was produced worldwide. Of this, only 9 percent was recycled. Recycling is no longer the answer to our climate crisis.
