TONIGHT'S AURORA+CLOUDS FORECAST:
We stay on the conservative side of things this evening as we begin to see the beginnings of a coronal mass ejection impact in the ACE/DSCOVR solar wind data. We think #aurora viewing will be fairly limited in scope for the United States this evening based on the data we're currently seeing at various spacecraft.
Things may change very late tonight or tomorrow, July 30 as additional CMEs may arrive, but unless something big changes, we're not expecting widespread aurora across the United States tonight despite the ongoing CME arrival.
Updates to this forecast will be provided this evening if things change or conditions warrant a southward move of the aurora viewing line.

Today approximately 1030am Trooper Melching stopped a pickup in Smith County on I-40 near the 259 Mile Marker. Two missing juveniles from Corbin, KY were discovered in the vehicle. The juveniles have been missing since Saturday 1/2/2021. The juveniles are safe.

One thing all of these extra precautions are doing is making me super aware of just how nasty our library is most of the time.

Like all of these desks, computers, chairs...they normally never get cleaned.

My cloths have been coming up black when I wipe down the desks.
