Hey y’all, going on a major social media break for a bit. Mental just isn’t doing great and this is certainly making it worse.
Pls reach out to my cell if you need me, and Padres homies the podcast isn’t going anywhere! I’ll still check and respond to your questions on Youtube!
Every Dylan Cease start he looks back for like 3 innings and then suddenly Impractical Jokers are in his ear like okay now go give up some moonshots for no reason
Honestly Shildt just continuing to blindly slot Arraez in at 2 becomes funnier by the day. Nothing but respect for a man committing fully to a silly bit
Arraez has one of the highest zone% in all of the league. Pitchers are simply not scared of him and he is letting them get away with murder. It is absolutely mind boggling how bad his approach has gotten, how the hitting staff has not addressed it, and how Shildt has not held him accountable by sliding him down in the order.
Ramón Laureano takes away a potential Teoscar Hernández grand slam (before Nick Pivetta proceeds to escape a bases-loaded, none-out jam with only one Dodger run):
The Padres just placed Jackson Merrill on the 10-day IL. He'll be eligible to return Aug. 30 in Minnesota. Merrill (left ankle sprain) had recently made progress, but evidently not enough to avoid IL. Corresponding move will come tomorrow, the Padres say.
The Padres are a sub-.500 team on the road. They’re also tied for first place because they play half of their games at Petco Park.
San Diego is on pace for another season of record attendance — and the franchise’s most home wins since 1998: https://t.co/fIJo1XnDvB
The Padres just ran themselves out of an early opportunity. Ramón Laureano, thinking Fernando Tatis Jr. had struck out, got caught between second and third. Umps ruled Tatis checked his swing. Laureano was thrown out to end the second. It's 1-0 Dodgers after 3.
