I cried at my OB appt today. The diabetes educator & my doctor both told me I was doing a great job managing my blood sugars, & that they knew how hard I am on myself to try to keep #’s in range. Lord knows this pregnancy has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.😭♥️

3 years ago I almost slipped into a coma and died. I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.

I paid $684 for my first 30-day supply of insulin. Some pay $1000+ a month. Many die without it.

Today I introduced legislation to cap the price of insulin at $50 a month. #txlege

I was hesitant to get the COVID vaccine while pregnant, but I’m trusting in God that Ruthie & I will be okay. 🙏🏼 💉🤰🏻
