A7: This year I have a class of 4 MS non-verbal Ss with Autism... ALL ON THEIR OWN!! 🥳 So I have an amazing opportunity to meet them at their level. Anyone have experience with a class like this? What kitchen based activities were successful for them? #teachfacs

A5: My favorite is our Food Truck Wars project. Ss in my class plan the menu and execute a dish and the FACS Ss next door create marketing materials. In the end they come together and present to a panel of judges. The final product: ultimate teamwork skills! #teachfacs

A3: I LOVE to incorporate student choice! Many of my major projects involve a student choice board! Helps@l create a stronger sense of ownership of their work! #teachfacs

A2: My bell ringers involve posting the lesson objective on the board in the form of a question and challenging the students to know the answer by the end of the lesson. Could definitely use some bell ringer inspiration from you all! Love what I’m seeing so far! #teachfacs

@themadduxfiles I LOVE Adobe Pro! I can easily edit, merge and remove pages from PDF files! I also use the fillable form function to create filled notes and worksheets for my SWD that need notes provided!

@themadduxfiles A7: I invite fellow teachers and admin in to participate in our activities such as mock interviews & food competition judging! It’s always fun for me to surprise my students with a one-on-one job interview with the superintendent! 🤣 #teachFACS

@themadduxfiles A6: In the past, I have held an after school culinary club (currently on hiatus because I have an infant at home) and since I work in a very low income school district I only charge the students $1 to attend so that it can be available to everyone!

@themadduxfiles A4: I don’t have to advertise to students because all MS students are required to take my class, but I do periodically write articles for my school newsletter so the community can see the great things my students are doing. #teachFACS
