In a truly vindictive move by @DonGrebien, the @CityofPawtucket demanded that Central falls pay our members overtime as we cover their shifts, so they can all attend a fundraiser for an active @Local1485 member who is battling cancer. Incomprehensible @wpri12 @NBC10 @GoLocalProv

In the last year IAFF Local 1261 has lost nearly 75 years of experience to Central Falls Fire Dept.

Today was a bitter sweet day for Local 1261.
Retired Lt. Jimmy Allen was sworn in with the Central Falls Fire Dept. Always tough to lose experience coupled with a strong union presence, but he’s going to a fine department and they definitely got one of the good ones.
