I had a great morning out again with Hebburn Litter Pickers - eighteen of us took to the streets to clear up & make sure the town centre was tidy whilst the @LocalHeroesNE market was on!

Not only did you help local small businesses to sell their products, but 10% of every purchase went to our Community Fund, helping us give £5,000+ worth of locally-sourced, fresh milk and eggs to the West End Food Bank. #LocalHeroesNE #OneYear

Wow. We never thought that our 12-week pilot scheme to support local traders during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic would turn into a year-long initiative, generating £50,000 in sales, which has supported our local economy through a really difficult time. #LocalHeroesNE
