The NYS Dept of Environmental Conservation FAILED to conduct reviews + allowed the toxic #NoNBKPipeline project to proceed. Now the FED GOV is investigating. Cheers to NCLEJ clients for keeping pressure @MiCasaResiste @BvilleGreen@IndigenousKin

Climate colonizers National Grid are greenwashing COP26 and greenwashing fracked gas projects right here in Brooklyn
🧵breaking down Grid’s climate lies/crimes
While New Yorkers struggled to stay alive in 2020, National Grid continued to build a fracked gas pipeline through predominantly BIPOC working class neighborhoods.
Direct action stopped Grid from building the last phase but fracked gas is now flowing in phases 1-4.
Amplifying the rallying call of our client and grassroots partner @MiCasaResiste in the fight against the N Brooklyn Pipeline, connecting the struggles in NYC to what’s happening across the country. #Stop1thru4#StopLine3#EnvironmentalRacism
The 2 Brooklyn lawyers who were bagged during the #GeorgeFloyd uprisings last year were forced to plead guilty to "one count of possession of a destructive device" (despite the fact that their Molotov was poorly made & probably wouldn't have worked). https://t.co/sjljkfZBGU
Me estresan las noticias que muestran indignación sobre lo que dijo el presidente de Argentina. Pero se indignan que nos llamen indios ? Wey están así de todos pendejos ???
Si neta no dan una.
For the last year, our NYC chapter has been working on Nos Cuidamos, an oral history and zine project documenting mutual aid during COVID-19 in Bushwick, in collaboration with Cities For People, Not For Profit. Join us in celebrating our narrators and their stories this weekend!
Students in NYC walked out of class & marched from Washington Square Park to Foley Square today to demand that cops stop harassing, brutalizing, & killing young people like #MakhiaBryant, #DaunteWright, #ChristianHall, & #AdamToledo. NYPD followed the march from a distance.
Even with guidance from the CDC stating homeless individuals must be allowed to remain where they are to avoid the spread of COVID, the city is still conducting these sweeps at higher numbers than before. These sweeps are inhumane and they must end.
A fierce march took over the streets of Brooklyn earlier tonite for #AdamToledo, marching from the Barclays Center to Crown Heights. Some radical artwork went up despite a very large NYPD presence (esp. the Strategic Response Group aka SRG) threatening & repressing the march.
This rabid fascist NYPD cop is BIG mad about modest reforms to qualified immunity in NYC. He tells his fellow cops "don't do shit" & to "let the city burn" because "they're coming after your homes, your pension, your salary, your condos, everything, including your cars."
Mañana, I’ll be doing a very special guest set for the Gonbo Mondays familia! catch these afternoon vibes as I spin for the first time at Rise Radio! ✨
BK land defenders who were arrested shutting down construction of National Grid's racist fracked gas pipeline in North Brooklyn are speaking out tonight. @BvilleGreen @MiCasaResiste
In October, 12 brave land protectors were arrested for shutting down construction of the North Brooklyn Pipeline.
Hear from them tomorrow and join the struggle to shut this racist fracked gas pipeline down for good
