For ‘20-21, we are ALL 1st year teachers, counselors, principals, assistant principals, & superintendents.
None of us have ever experienced what we are going to endure & accomplish this year.
We are all in this TOGETHER.
We’ll be our best.

Our elementary curriculum development committees are hard at work this week! These teachers from across the district are busy creating and refining what students will be learning in the fall! We truly appreciate the hard work of these amazing teachers!!! #repmoproud
When you have 20 people (parents, teachers, followers) saying positive things & 1 person saying negative, if you focus on the negative, then you are saying that person’s opinion is more important than the other 20. Don’t get wrapped up with negative people.
It’s Monday! Today let’s:
1. Stay positive
2. Be thankful
3. Choose faith over fear
4. Replace “Have to” with “Get To”
5. Encourage others
6. Use this time to learn, improve and grow
@alicia_floyd03 That's a great idea! I love my favorite no. If you do a quick formative, you select 1-2 examples where a student made a mistake or had a misconception. You then have the students analyze the problem to see how and why they think the mistake was made.
I love the “what do you know about _____” routine. So many big ideas about place value came out of our conversation — and so many Ss were able to share in the discourse! #learnwithIM
