When it comes to spiritual development, it really is necessary to be discerning with your environment.

You won’t be able to be close friends with everyone, you won’t be able to watch regular movies and shows anymore. Eventually you do have to say goodbye to lots of things that regular people do to “have fun”.

Once you cross this threshold and you stop trying to live with one foot in your old ways and one foot in the new way of being, you will see that boundaries and discernment must be applied to all areas of life.

There’s almost no way to raise your consciousness while trying to live a life like everyone else, as most of the trappings of the ordinary world will lower your consciousness and you will lose the fruits of your labor with too much time spent in it.

This doesn’t mean to live in a cave and avoid everyone, but to align your mind and spend your time with higher influences that help you spiritually more than getting dragged along with the collective slumber.

As the saying goes, to learn how be in the world but not of the world.

@CoachCaroline Nooit zal ik daar zomaar in meegaan. Geen adolescent weet wie hij/zij is dat ben je dan aan het ontdekken, het is je plicht om ze kritische vragen te stellen (en ze in hun lichaam laten zijn, want in mijn ogen wandelende hoofden) en denken dat n quickfix ze beter laat voelen.
