@VanLathan She’s like the Pete Maravich of the WNBA - amazing college player, very exciting to watch but not particularly efficient. Will still be a HOFer regardless but probably won’t ever be the best player in the league.
@ChrisKarpman He’s not the level player people think he is. He’s got upside but 7 foot bigs shouldn’t have multiple games with 5 or less boards and foul out most games. I don’t want a guy who relies on contested mid range pulls Deandre Ayton style.
What a week for Randy Bennett & his staff. Over the last week, they’ve secured commitments from 4 transfers ranked in the top-150:
• Paulius Murauskas (9)
• Joel Foxwell (61)
• Dillan Shaw (93)
•Ben Defty (134)
It’s shaping up to be a solid team in Year 1 of the Bennett era
BREAKING: ASU has signed Paulius Murauskas, the No. 9 overall player in the transfer portal.
The Saint Mary’s PF transfer is the centerpiece of Randy Bennett’s first-year transfer haul. Massive addition.
It’s time for the suns to blow it up. Booker can’t be your #1 option and expect to win at a high level. Trade him to a contender and do him right and get a bunch of picks back and start over. The window closed years ago.
@ironmikeluke Is Tucson the best city? No (though I’ll admit last time I went I had a good time). But neither is college station, or Lubbock or MOST big time college towns. If the campus is great, the rest is kind of an after thought.
@ironmikeluke I don’t think it’s even so much the sports programs.
As an Alum, ASU is unfortunately not a great campus. No culture, no history, it feels like a massive commuter community college.
Arizona has the traditional college town vibe and I think athletes prefer that.
Tommy Lloyd just absolutely fooled U of A with that contract extension lmao
Still a great year for the cats but man I don’t think they are going to get a roster this stacked again.
