Delighted that I’ll be co-tutoring a Narrative Non-Fiction residential writing course @ArvonFoundation from Nov 3 to 8 with the great @LoisPryce and @NooSaroWiwa.
It’s sold out, but you can join the waiting list!

Turning to our culture section, @_Durdana and @kamranyousuf_ meet the embattled hoteliers of beautiful Kashmir, @LoisPryce argues that a new era of bluegrass can unite America, and @FeldmanSally reviews @netflix’s Nonnas, exploring the magic of grandmas' cooking...
On my new favourite mountains, for @GuardianTravel The Sierra de la Demanda in northern Spain - wild, empty and a little bit weird. Perfect for escaping the 21st century.

My latest for @GuardianTravel A magical walk along Spain's Cabo de Gata coast - skinny-dipping, mountain-scrambling, and dodging sanctimonious hippies.

Informed, open to new challenges and always upbeat: just the sort of people who'd be the best of travelling companions! @AustinVINCE2 and @LoisPryce in good form at the @StanfordsTravel annual book awards this week.
Great night out with my fellow judges at the Edward Stanford Travel Writing Awards on Weds and congratulations to the well-deserved winner, @noosarowiwa for her brilliant book, Black Ghosts.
Lovely catching up with @LoisPryce yesterday @StanfordsTravel
Check out her adventure and travel memoirs on the TF website - solo motorcycle trips through the Americas / Africa / Iran
Friends, Persians, Londoners! 15/03/25- I'm speaking about my motorbike travels in Iran at this celebration of Nowruz - the Persian New Year. Come & find out why we should sack off our crappy January New Year and get with the far superior Persian version.

@garryscott7 I was very fortunate to go when I did (2013, 2014 and 2016) - it was a small window when relations were a little calmer. But the mood was already changing on my last trip in 2016, after Tr**p ripped up the nuclear deal. Terrible times for Iranians now, and for these travellers.
