Though located in Turkana County, Lake Logipi is only accessible from the Samburu County side through Parkati.
A year ago, @SamburuCountyKE rehabilitated a 50-km stretch of the road from Naturkan through Terter to Parkati in Turkana East. @MuthuriKinyamu@magicalkenya #TwendeNTV

On this #WorldWildlifeDay, South Turkana National Reserve in Kainuk comes to my mind.
This tourism attraction needs the attention of the @TurkanaCountyKE.
@LokwangPatrick, with whom I share the passion on excursions, fully agrees with me.

For how much longer will Lodwar Municipality endure power rationing? When will the Energy ministry consider seriously the people whose livelihoods depend on reliable electricity?
@OpiyoWandayi This situation is simply nauseating!
Waziri, I hope it will be materialised soon. What Kindiki had achieved during his stint is being drained. Armed criminals continue to stay within the Turkana South Game Reserve despite the area being gazetted as a protected area.
The Church has been our valued partner in the restoration of peace in many parts of the Kerio Valley.
It supported us greatly in our disarmament efforts in Baringo, Elgeyo-Marakwet, and West Pokot counties, and in the rehabilitation of reformed bandits.
Today, on the first day of my working tour of the Kerio Valley region, I visited AIC Cheptebo Rural Development Centre in Elgeyo-Marakwet County.
I thanked the Church, led by Bishop David Kipsoi, and the residents for supporting our disarmament campaign, which has yielded peace and calm in the county and surrounding areas. We will support the Centre by strengthening its operational capacity as we continue partnering in rehabilitating reformed youth and combating alcohol abuse.
During my tour of the region, which will also take me to West Pokot, Turkana, Laikipia, Isiolo and Meru, I will assess the security situation and engage security agencies and residents to discuss ways of eliminating the remaining acts of banditry in these areas.
We are confident that the strategic interventions we applied in Elgeyo-Marakwet and Baringo will be successfully replicated in regions where pockets of criminality remain.
We will not rest until banditry is wiped out completely so that these parts of the country can enjoy development.
We were joined by Governor Wisley Rotich, PSs Dr. Chris Kiptoo (Treasury), Dr. Esther Muoria (TVET), Senator William Kisang, MPs Gideon Kimaiyo (Keiyo South), Caroline Ng’elechei (Woman Rep), Adams Kipsanai (Keiyo North) and MCAs led by Speaker Lawi Kibire, among others.
An immediate action needs to be undertaken to save the KVDA farms in Napuu. It is alarming that farms are drying up despite sitting on an a aquifer.
We risk wasting a natural resource that should sustain livelihoods here. @JamesLokwale@KVDA_ke
@JamesLokwale@KVDA_ke What's the next plan by @KVDA_ke after the vandalism? The farm has turned into a grazing field for livestock.
KVDA used the same excuse and abandoned Loyapat. They took tractor and brought it to Lodwar.
We had the honour of hosting H.E. President Dr. @WilliamsRuto, who officially opened the 9th Edition of the Turkana Tourism and Cultural Festival – Tobong’u Lore, our flagship celebration of culture, identity, and unity.
The success of the FGCK Natoot Farm project clearly demonstrates that irrigated agriculture can thrive in Turkana when driven by commitment and effective management. @JamesLokwale
Here is the @MaraNomads crew camping at South Turkana National Reserve in Kainuk.
As always, I celebrate this wonderful team of avid adventure travellers for being at the forefront of promoting Turkana County as an ideal tourist destination.
They take you to places where no one else dares to venture, offering unique experiences in @magicalkenya's most isolated and remote locations.
The trauma inflicted on residents of Kainuk by bandits is deeply UNSETTLING. Gun-related deaths in Kainuk, have SADLY, been made a normal occurrence. @EAukot@kipmurkomen@InteriorKE

Waziri @kipmurkomen, is your office aware of the insecurity in Kainuk? Two people were killed yesterday. Armed people few weeks go broke into Kainuk Secondary School, cut the fence, and stole goats.
Where will people run for aid as criminals treat Kainuk as their playground?
Joined Ateker leaders from Kenya & South Sudan in Nadapal to mark one year of peaceful coexistence at the border. This milestone shows the power of diplomacy & dialogue in transforming conflict-prone areas.
Many of our people still miss out on key government services—like Social Health Insurance—due to lack of National ID cards. We're partnering with the National Registration Bureau to fast-track issuance for over 400,000 people, mainly pastoralists in remote areas.
