🇹🇯 Raids against wearing the hijab are underway in Tajikistan

Authorities have banned the import and wearing of black hijabs and Arabic-style clothing, calling them “alien to national culture,” and tightened controls on religious beards.

One of the world’s largest mosques is currently being built in Strasbourg, not far from the European Parliament

The mega-mosque has been funded by the Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated Millî Görüş, the Qataris, and the Strasbourg City Council which contributed €2.5m at the behest of the Green Mayor.

Millî Görüş is a Turkish Islamist movement that advocates political Islam and is inspired by the ideas of Hassan al-Banna, the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood.

The mosque’s website, through which it has received donations from thousands of ordinary Muslims, proudly proclaims, “Europe’s most beautiful complex is rising in Strasbourg,” and says it will “represent Islamic civilisation in the centre of Europe.”

While Islamists are funding the construction of mosques and Islamic complexes in Europe, Turkey and Qatar do not allow Christians to build places of worship in their countries. Why do you think that is?

King Charles visited Cambridge Central Mosque, Europe's first eco-mosque, where he praised the award-winning building as "magnificent" and "architecturally wonderful."

After unveiling a commemorative plaque, the King told trustees:

"The care and attention that you have lavished on it... makes a huge contribution, I'm sure. Not only to the Muslim community but to Cambridge itself."

The construction of the mosque, which was opened in 2019, was funded through a combination of private and public donations.

The largest public donations came from Turkey and Qatar.

A consortium of Turkish government agencies, most notably the Directorate of Religious Affairs “Diyanet” and the Turkish construction company Yapi Merkezi donated 16 million pounds, or nearly two thirds of the total construction costs.

Another massive public donation was made by Qatar National Fund.

Both Turkey and Qatar are strong supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood and often join efforts to fund the construction of mosques in Europe.
