Lometa Hornets...Great News! Because of changes to the TEA STAAR testing calendar we have added a full student holiday on April 7, 2022. This is Good Friday and was originally scheduled as a half day because of testing.

The summer seamless feeding program is in full swing. Children birth to 18 - even if they do not go to school at Lometa - are invited to free breakfast and lunch from May 24 - June 25. Adults may eat for a charge.

No school Tuesday, 2/16 The sun is shining and it is helping, but the added overnight precipitation will refreeze tonight. Additionally, until the rolling blackouts end, it will not be as safe or productive to be in school. We'll hold on one more day and see how it goes.

School Canceled tomorrow...

After looking at forecasts and examining roads, we have decided the safest thing will be to cancel school for tomorrow, Monday, January 11. It will warm up through the day, so we intend to have the Junior High basketball games tomorrow evening.
