@philosophymeme0 That's not a square, it's a keyhole. A square is box shaped, with 4 straight lights of equal length and 90 degree angles. We have a word for that shape, a keyhole.
@lazorchef Then draw your character. Keep a note on where each line goes across which body part of your character.
This is important for trying different poses because when you sketch you can draw the guidelines of the body into any position and the proportions will be the same.

First sketch a standing rectangle where the body will be. Then divide it into 8 equal spaced lines. The top square will be the head size 1/8 of the body. The mid point is the private area. The bottom half are the legs and the torso should be 2 and a half from mid point
