Global Cultural Productivity Index
Since there has been a lot of recent talk about “civilization” and “culture” being under threat, we ran three different datasets to measure the cultural productivity of countries around the world.
This index not only indicates which countries are the most culturally productive, but also which ones have the ability to continue to enrich their cultures.
The Dictators Trap: Why America Prefers Military Dictators Abroad?
We take a deep dive, using specific case studies, to explain why the US prefers to work with military dictators in developing countries, and why this short-term policy has produced long-term disastrous results for both the US and the people of those developing countries.
Competition Analysis: How Ivy League Admissions Have Tightened Over 50 Years
We analyzed Ivy League acceptance rates between 1974 and 2023. The average fell from 29.4% to 5.3%, a decline of 24.1 percentage points, or 82%.
In raw terms, Ivy League schools now admit applicants at roughly one-sixth the rate they did 50 years ago.
America’s Urban Great Divergence
America’s largest cities have followed two very different arcs. The old giants retained their economic weight. The Sun Belt became a magnet for people and jobs
But across both models, housing costs surged.
Bottom line: America’s urban center of gravity is shifting south and west
US–China Competition: Enduring Innovation Meets Unstoppable Deployment
US–China competition is typically measured through traditional economic, military, technological, and social indicators.
We are taking a different approach in this infographic series to compare the US and China in how quickly each system can turn an idea, investment, or policy into a real-world outcome.
We compare speed to deployment across three sectors:
1. Biotech - Drug Development
2. Infrastructure Delivery
3. Strategic Manufacturing
America may win on innovation. China is increasingly winning on deployment.
LongArc Films: Why America Thrives in Crisis
Most countries seek stability. America is unusual in how some of its greatest periods of growth have come out of crisis.
What is clear from data is that America is a crisis player. It performs best under uncertainty.
US war in Iran didn't start in 2026, it started in 1953.
We map out the timeline of US-Iran troubles, elements driving it, and our probability on what to expect next.
US Real Estate Crisis: A Breakdown
We dig deep into the US real estate market to understand why it has become increasingly difficult for young people to buy a home today compared to their parents' generation.
It has less to do with inflation itself, and more to do with how the market is structured to reward those who already own property and hold wealth.
When housing becomes an asset class, it is the family class that struggles.
US Immigration Problem: A Breakdown
What Americans experience as an immigration crisis is a downstream consequence of upstream power.
We discuss the fundamentals of immigration crisis in our latest infographic series.
The Price of Dictatorship: The Hidden Cost of America's Alliances with Foreign Military Dictators
We deep dived into data and evidence on American alliances with foreign military dictators to assess if they served the long term US national interest or the development interests of the foreign countries over the last 75 years.
Society, Not the State: A True Measure of National Direction
Instead of measuring the strength of the state, we measure the health of society: public trust, institutional independence, elite incentives, innovation, & a society's ability to peacefully correct its own mistakes.
Launch update🚀
Took a long time coming but it's finally here: @LongArc_
For the past few years friends and well wishers encouraged me to launch my podcast, or a vlog, but I simply couldn't get myself to building yet another podcast. That space is already crowded, and frankly building in that "breaking news" space and format meant compromising on my thinking process.
So instead, I ended up raising a small round to building something else. Something more unique, and more me: A Philosophy Studio, which is my take on the New Media.
I will use this studio to build conceptual frameworks, run probabilities and deploy creative mediums to tell powerful stories that not only helps make sense of uncertainty but also give tools to think about and build the futures stack.
This project is very near and dear to me and is really an extension of how I think about things, reality, society, humanity, politics, and the futures.
We will be doing storytelling through infographs, and short films.
