P.S. This doesn't make up for the fact that Dick Cheney enabled Trump's presidency, the rise of the far right, & the authoritarian structure that allowed him to do so much damage. Liz Cheney isn't much better, doing the bare minimum while defending what led us here isn't heroic.

But the word of people who blatantly lied about their respect for precedent they don't like is a good enough reason to ignore an erosion of basic rights

It is a major issue. Dobbs overturns the foundation that Obergefell is based on, and falls victim to the same absurd logic used in Dobbs.

@toottootchoo @Patty4Nebraska A fundamental right of equality is not an issue for the states to decide. Saying that states should be able to choose what rights to recognize, and what rights to ignore, is a violation of everyone's rights.
