@nikhilvnamburi Agree with you on #1 but on #2 often the early check is the Trojan horse that allows you to deploy more capital at the growth stage (which, as you correctly pointed out, generates the majority of absolute $ return)
@nikhilvnamburi Hmm…. I think you’re conflating opportunity set with good company picking. To your point, it’s difficult to know which of your early-stage bets will reach growth stage. That doesn’t mean your opportunity set is constrained, it just means your hit rate is lower
