Police have arrested a 35-year-old woman, Zimbabwean Polite Chimoyo, at the Bubi Roadblock coming from South Africa.

Chimoyo was travelling in a Toyota Aqua when police searched the vehicle and found 190 bottles of 100ml Broncleer cough syrup, totalling 19 litres, and 30 bottles of 100ml Astra pain cough syrup, totalling 3 litres.

The cough syrups were hidden in a Powerland satchel and a Redbat bag.

She was arrested for unlawful possession of unregistered medicines.
