There is a cover-up at the heart of Government. Ministers have been forced to admit that the “missing” Islamophobia definition documents do exist.
After pressure from the Free Speech Union and Shadow Justice Secretary Nick Timothy, Angela Rayner’s Communities department has conceded that documents that helped shape the “anti-Muslim hostility” definition still exist, despite previously saying they had been destroyed.
It now seems almost certain that the Government tried to bury evidence that could show whether Islamist extremists helped draft what amounts to Britain’s de facto Islamic blasphemy law.
The Free Speech Union has warned that this non-statutory definition will be used — and is already being used — by activists, public bodies and authorities to silence legitimate criticism and debate about Islam, its history and its practices.
A review ordered by Will Garton, the top civil servant at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, found that responses to the Working Group’s consultation on the definition do exist and are “still held on the department’s systems”.
The Free Speech Union threatened the department with a judicial review unless it revealed who had been given the chance to influence the definition.
Enough is enough. There can be no more excuses. Angela Rayner must come clean about what on earth is going on under her watch.

The editor of @BBCWomansHour appeared on @BBCRadio4 to say that women over 60 need to have language explained to them which many might think sexist & ageist.
She says they "reflect the law", but it's "moving".
She's impartial, apparently.

We submitted a Freedom Of Information request about the research that is being used to justify the dangerous Conversion Practices Bill.
We've just received a response saying we can't have the information because it is exempt as Ministers need to be able to take advice and discuss it in private.
They don't think the public interest outweighs that right
BUT a lot of the info we asked for doesn't impact on that.
Also, we'd argue there is an extremely strong public interest in knowing the basis on which normal conversations between parents and their children, therapists and their clients, teachers and their pupils etc will be criminalised.
We'll be asking for a review.
“It was the test for society, but it’s also a test for politicians… If you are willing to say publicly that you would push this lie, that a man can be a woman, okay, then why do I have to believe what you are going to say for any solution on the economy, on immigration, on cost of living? Because you have just shown to me that you will lie about the most obvious thing.”

Just as most men aren't rapists, voyeurs or domestic abusers, so there are plenty of trans women who pose no risk to women and girls.
However, some trans-identified men provably are a risk. We know this because it's a matter of public record. Trans women have been convicted of all the crimes listed above, and of femicide.
No study has ever proven that trans-identified men don't have the same pattern of criminality as every other kind of man. All available evidence points the other way: they are just as likely as any other man to be a rapist or a woman-killer. The evidence is plain to see in government statistics and court reports, however much you'd like to pretend none of those exist.
Demanding that women and girls pretend there is no risk to themselves, which you do constantly, is itself abusive. Your insistence that you belong in women-only spaces, and your pretence that the likelihood of harm to females in those spaces doesn't increase with every man who's allowed inside, mark you out as precisely the kind of man who should be nowhere near women's and girls' locker rooms.
Decent men, however they identify, respect women's boundaries. Even if they themselves would never dream of harming a girl or woman, they are under no illusions about what some of their fellow men will do if given access to spaces where women and girls are undressed or otherwise vulnerable.
As for women who commit terrible crimes: I have literally never heard any woman deny that Myra Hindley, Karla Homolka or Joanna Dennehy are female. Nor have I ever seen a woman argue that being a woman entitles them to enter spaces reserved for vulnerable people, without having a professional or family-related reason for being there.
Yet another difference between women and trans-identified men of your type is that the former aren't demanding, en masse, the right to go where they clearly don't belong - for instance, into a nursery where they have neither a child nor a job, or onto an intensive care ward when they know nobody and have no medical qualifications, purely because they consider themselves to be especially kind and nurturing. Even if such an interloper didn't hurt a child or a critically ill person, women as a class understand how inappropriate it would be to push themselves into those spaces and just how much justified disquiet they'd cause by doing so.
The entitlement and disregard you show for the feelings and boundaries of women and girls are of those of an unfortunately all-too-common type of male. You believe you have the right to demand that women sacrifice their own personal safety to validate your feelings about yourself. You're either indifferent to the fact that you might make women and girls uneasy at best, and scared at worst, or you're well aware that you'll have that effect, and the thought gives you a thrill. Nothing about that makes you a woman. On the contrary, you just keep proving, over and over again, that you are a man.
Ridiculous prevarication, wasting public money, everyone's time, and letting unfairness and female exclusion in sport and recreation continue when it is obvious what needs to be done @Chris_Boardman@Sport_England@sportscotland@_SportNI@sportwales@Tanni_GT
The science has not changed. The law has been clarified. Any female or women's category - competitive or for participation - must exclude everyone male. You need to call it.
UN spokesperson: “An internal investigation has concluded that UNRWA humanitarian workers in Gaza participated in the massacre carried out by Hamas on October 7”
It is not a ‘human right’ for a man to perform intimate examinations on a woman who has requested same-sex care.
It is not a ‘human right’ for a man to access women's rape crisis centres.
It is not a ‘human right’ for a man to force women to remove their clothes in front of him.
It is not a ‘human right’ for a man to compete in women's sporting competitions.
It’s not a ‘human right’ for a man to emotionally manipulate, or coerce everyone around him to deny what they know to be true and address him as the opposite sex.
It is a human right to be free of harm and discrimination, but it is not a human right to demand access to language, rights and provisions fought for, on the basis of sex.
Trans women are not a type of woman. They are a type of man.
Labour council is quite happy for any man to self ID into women & girls intimate spaces. Because that’s what will happen. And again women & girls get an increased safeguarding risk. Not to mention it’s against the actual law
As @soniasodha just pointed out, this is an NHS board saying evidenced based medicine is just some random opinion, further that it's not sufficiently cogent or coherent or relevant to anything important.
I cannot believe what I just read. They are arguing science fails the Grainger test.
Hannah Spencer should resign her seat.
There is now footage of her campaign coordinator claiming mosques supported her campaign “under cover” during the Gorton & Denton by-election.
If that amounted to unlawful political activity by registered charities, this cannot simply be brushed aside.
Cheating or improper interference during a by-election is a direct threat to our democracy, no matter how big or small.
We cannot allow the rot to set in.
Hannah Spencer should resign and there should be another Gorton & Denton by-election.
Has it’s ever occurred to you that places that have fewer rights for women are not accurately counting female suicides? Do you believe Saudi Arabia when they say there is zero rape? Iran when they say there are zero gays? Let’s use our thinking caps
Lubna Speitan, the Green Party activist who co-sponsored the “Zionism is racism” motion and is a close friend of an al-Qaeda terrorist, called for synagogues to be “surrounded.”
That followed her demand that Zionists (Jews) be “hunted” worldwide.
This is incitement. Arrest her.
@suladoyle@BBCWomansHour@womenslibrary@ScotLesbians@ForWomenScot The Library holds archives from the London Lesbian Information Centre following its closure along with personal documents from individual Lesbians. Some archives have to be viewed ‘only by lesbians’ covenants attached to them. It is shameful that lesbians are denied access to..
“Zionists” must be “hunted down in the same way as the Nazis.”
If language like this doesn’t wake you up to the danger of where this rhetoric can lead, I don’t know what will.
Wake-up Britain 🇬🇧
The world’s “most vulnerable” demographic who have government, institutions, most of the media, celebrities and, let’s be honest, far too many women on their side.
They’re just predatory men. Run of the mill, we’ve seen it all before, predatory men.
Sophie Cunningham sent a bold, truthful message at the Mizzou vs Florida game with her hat
The side said “No Cis, just..”
The front: “Woman”
Now The Athletic/New York Times are calling for the Fever to get rid of her...
We need more bold, female athletes like Cunningham.

🔴 BREAKING
British Jews threatened with arrest in London by the Police on October 7th while marking vigil for the victims of the massacre while Free Palestine (clearly Pro-Hamas in my opinion) protestors are allowed to march.
Absolutely disgusting.
Via @GBNEWS
Let them march. Let’s see who they are. These people with 364 other days to exercise their freedom to legitimately protest a genuine cause, but chose today - today, the day the terrorists came to a festival & to kibbutzim to slaughter, to rape.
Let them march. Let’s see them.
