I wanted to sketch something out a lot faster with little to no planning, so I did a Gnoll mercenary in Nodrango.
The Gnolls, notoriously war-like and bloodthirsty, would always take up arms to fight for one side or another. It's something instinctual to them
Having trouble lately getting any kind of art or creative endeavor to the finish line. Not sure if it’s lack of direction, too many distractions, or just a dissatisfaction with technical ability.
It’s a spiral you inevitably end up in at-least twice a year, it can be brutal 😩

So the majority of the effect is happening at a per texture material level and not a post processing one?
@Chrispy9229 its got rudimentary stealth mechanics, interactive world systems, alternative paths to objectives, interactive story terminals, Data entries, player build implants, small degrees of emergent gameplay.
Its a lot closer to something like deus ex then you'd think.
I’m being 100% serious when I say this, but I think Nu-Marathon could have been an actually super awesome immersive sim.

@EmpReb Could take a deus ex approach and cut them into chunks with hubzones and more verticality. the levels currently are surprisingly robust, especially outpost
