@matt_gerken@ShoulderWinter@jronald Backwards compatibility was officially talked about in regards to November when the actual 25th Anniversary is, it was never said that the June showcase would show anything regarding backwards compatibility.
@PatteDeFruit@digitalfoundry Yeah but only certain ones so anyone picking up a second hand one be carful as the backwards compatibility was removed from later models to save money.
@Crusader3456 I thought it was stated the backwards compatible reveal would happen on the 25th anniversary in November, then again yeah the announcement could happen in June with the BC titles not dropping til November.
@V3nti1at0r@JBishie Yeah but all these “what ifs” is why an official announcement would be nice because what has been announced about the anniversary can be interpreted multiple ways.
@purexbox Given how much more transparent Xbox has been lately it would be nice if they clarified the BC plans for the anniversary a bit more rather having us wait till November
@asha_shar is there any chance we could see original Xbox exclusives like Buffy the vampire slayer and Toe Jam and Earl 3, return through backwards compatibility, on the series X or Helix ?
All the steady flow of good Xbox news would be even better if we could get a confirmation on wether or not the backwards compatible news for the anniversary in November was clarified to include more OG and 360 games coming to the series X.
@CheddarGoblino@The_Epic_Mike The games were free if you owned them, not made to buy them again or hidden behind a subscription payment and many where improved with higher resolution and better frame rates again not locked behind a paywall, your opinion (not facts) about the number being small is subjective
@StormslayerDev Prince of Persia sands of time was already made backwards compatible although it has been delisted to buy digitally, but you could still track down a disc and play it that way.
