🚨Earlier this month the Government responded to @LordsLandCom's report, 'Making the most out of England’s Land’. Read the response here: https://t.co/IuxdG2iqyh
Further Recommendations in the Land Use Committee report include:
1.Providing urgent clarity on ELMS programmes
2.Strengthening the planning system to ensure new development supports nature
3.Better provision of green and open spaces
The framework must consider a range of factors including food, nature, housing, and the push for net zero, while promoting a multifunctional approach to land use.
The Lords Land Use Committees report calls for the creation of a Land Use Commission tasked with producing a land use framework and reviewing the impact of existing laws and policy on land use.
Today @LordsLandCom publishes its report on land, which includes recommendations on the government's #LandUseFramework, due to be published in 2023.
