The question is not why California goes to such extraordinary lengths to make sure every qualified citizen has the right to vote & that their vote is counted. The question is why wouldn’t every American state want that?
@ScottAMeyersLA@RoKhanna Oh the class warfare has been on going from the billionaire / Epstein class who continue to devalue and deprive real working people of what they have earned and what they deserve.
Glad Ro knows what side he is on. Keep licking boots, brother.
I know I sound like a broken record, but @RoKhanna is giving a master class to other elected officials on what it looks like to be a pro-worker, pro-working class politician right now. No hesitation, no hedging, no apologies. More of this!

@JoshBeckerSV@RoKhanna Wow, Josh, really? Love you but:
1) you know that income tax is not how people are becoming billionaires. 2) do you really think they pay their fair share?
I am pretty sure CTA has concerns about prop 98, not taxing billionaires as a general idea. That’s what this reads like.
I say this as someone who sat on the board of my local Planned Parenthood (who thankfully was neutral during unionization.) In many ways I’m a fan of PP, but ultimately they are in the healthcare business.
Planned Parenthood also joined big tech in opposing our CNA / @CaliforniaLabor bill to protect nurses from unregulated AI. Some local clinics have fought hard against their workers’ unionization efforts.
@PPActionCA aligns w/ CA Chamber more than economic progressives & labor.

While we paid our taxes, Musk avoided paying his and used our tax dollars to create his personal wealth.
Having even one trillionaire in this world is a policy failure.
There are 989 billionaires in the United States.
A country can't afford necessary and good things for the whole population & also have a government whose top priority is making sure 989 oligarchs have more than a billion dollars. The math doesn’t work.
Politicians should stop pretending public policies that support the wealth-hoarding of billionaires & trillionaires aren’t a problem.
Those policies are THE problem.
Americans are struggling to pay for groceries and gas while Elon Musk becomes a TRILLIONAIRE.
When the federal government is for sale, the rich get richer and everyone else gets shafted.
The system is rigged.
Xavier Becerra has been a good friend for more than a decade. I was proud to author & champion many of his sponsored bills when I was in the legislature. And I look forward to his steady, pro-worker, progressive leadership as our next Governor. Adelante!
I had a great time at the @AFLCIO conference this past week. It’s always great to talk about taking on the billionaires & the bosses, seeing so many friends & labor leaders from across the nation and getting to spend a few minutes with one of my favorite people: @JulieSuLabor
And yes, I know gig workers are taxed for their entire SS contribution. I still think we should tax the companies that misclassified them. They should still pay.
