Our 3rd annual Culture, Heritage, Identity & Community Day was a wonderful celebration of our diversity and one of our values, Internationality. It is a pupil led event, and our Y10 student working party ensured it was the best yet! @loretochorlton @ACitizenshipT @mcrhealthysch

Today our Y9’s enjoyed some rare July sunshine in the Peak District enjoying a walk to Mam Tor & an appreciation of a beautiful rural landscape so close to Manchester #Chorlton @loretochorlton @mcrhealthysch

We also took the opportunity to compare the school vote to the national vote (we were higher!) And the very busy day for the new and outgoing Prime Minister - meeting with the King and moving out/into Downing Street #GE24 @loretochorlton @ACitizenshipT @doingdemocracy

Our returning officer Maddie announced our results on a whole school Teams assembly this morning🥁Mo, our Lib Dem candidate, won a super majority with 54% of the vote @loretochorlton @ACitizenshipT @doingdemocracy @mcrhealthysch

A real buzz around our parallel election with 67% turnout. Lots of talk of ‘have you voted? It only takes a minute…’ as well as questions about tax and national service. Results announced at 9am in assembly! @loretochorlton @ACitizenshipT @mcrhealthysch @doingdemocracy
