Final words for 2024, if I still have any followers here.

I’ll have a book announcement coming shortly, but first: huge gratitude to writer / editor / teachers Bruce Hunter, Yvonne Blomer and Kelli Russell Agodon, who have supported me on a journey that became a bit of a marathon. You are awesome.
Apparently I've been on this platform for 15 years. Likely shifting out soon. Hate to lose all those connections but I hope to reconnect with many of you elsewhere.

Realia, Michael Trussler (Radiant Press, 2024)
mini review

Mini review in the images and over on IG.
@RaynaRambling Sorry for you both Rayna.
Yes, report to animal control. The owner needs to be able to control their dog. You want to decrease the likelihood of the dog attacking again.
@RStraatsma So many people must secretly share what Trump speaks aloud: fear of immigrants, contempt for women, distain for science and higher ed, etc etc etc. They want the 1950s back.
@RaynaRambling Yeh and this guy was on the section nearest the street, which is mainly people running or on bikes. Even the other path by the water would be more likely.
I think he will have to adjust his business plan.
Guy on the waterfront (Dallas Road) this afternoon, making non-musical sounds on accordion, says to every passer-by: “now accepting donations for lessons.”
No donations.
Tough way to make some coin. #yyj#streetscene#busking
Tonight, I’m thinking about Justice Murray Sinclair and of the times that I was lucky enough to hear him speak about his work with the TRC. This moment stands out for me. It’s his answer when he was asked, “Why can’t you just get over it?”

@charlesincities Went to a book talk with author Richard Powers recently. He was asked what he thought of social media and answered with a pretty sharp analysis of how it provides platforms for content that would be libellous else.
Victoria watercolor artist’s book, 300 Mason Jars, began from frustration as she tried to piece together a family history, but over time, these jars took on a deeper meaning.
