Today is College Student Grief Awareness Day. Statistically, 9.1% of children in Missouri will experience the death of a parent or sibling by the age of 18. By the age of 25, that statistic more than doubles. Although they make up an alarming percentage of campus populations,
college students are often under-supported in their grief. In addition, they are often physically distanced from their families and support systems.
