I truly believe that if it wasn't for the power of 𝕏 to openly question and pressure UK "authorities", they'd have just written off the murder of Ann Widdecombe as a "random attack".
A man gets into a car with a stick, drives hundreds of miles to brutally murder the beloved elderly matriarch of Reform UK.
The authorities offer no information, but if you ask questions they admonish you for “speculating”.
Reform MPs demanding security from the state are told to shut up and be grateful that “the police know where their house is” and the “direct telephone number to the police” to call if someone tries to murder them.
Reveal that the Speaker of the House has totally ignored letters from Reform MPs about their safety and he briefs the press that he’s “furious”, while failing to deny this.
If you go to lay flowers in memory of your friend you are “politicising” her murder.
If you push back against any of this, you are hounded to the ends of the earth by the Times, the Telegraph, the Daily Mail, the Guardian, the Mirror, and hundreds of crazed leftists online.
These, apparently, are the new rules for Nigel, for Reform MPs and all those in our movement.
None of it will deter us.
We will fight on.
For Ann.
For our country. 🇬🇧
This is an elderly woman whose murder has been celebrated today by those who point to us as the bad guys. I can tell you this right now, if Ann had been a left-wing politician that I disagreed with, I would still feel anguish for what must’ve been a terrified woman on her own.
Seeing as though Andy Burnham prefers answering softball questions on Reddit instead of facing real scrutiny from the Press, I’m asking a question of my own on his AMA.
It’s time get serious @andyburnham. Hold a proper press conference, and answer some real questions.
Happy 80th Birthday, President @realDonaldTrump .
The most unique, resilient, energetic, and polarising public figure I’ve ever met. You may not be everyone’s cup of tea, Donald, but nor am I.
Enjoy your big day!
Every single person who still cringes at the memory of trying to bullshit their way through an interview or exam question: today, the slate is wiped clean. Set down your burden of shame. Nothing - nothing, I say - could touch this.
Once you realize that anything can happen; sickness, death, lose your job... Literally, anything in the blink of an eye, you become very humble. Tables turn and that's how crazy life can get.
Always stay humble, and be grateful.
