This should be readily apparent, but in case of doubt: I have no connection to John Carpenter, Victor Wong or Big Trouble In Little China* beyond loving the movie and thinking Egg Shen is a great guy with entertaining lines.
*Have you seen it? You should watch it. It's fun.
@AnimeePost So glad to see mah girl Motoko's true form animated.
If you don't like it, then that just means a different Motoko lives in your head than in mine... millions of different Motokos in the skulls of fans worldwide across 30 years, and that's the most GITS shit ever.
@Grummz It's mildly irksome and dumb and would feel more sensible if there were more effective nonviolent deterrents to predators. Feels like the devs have some kinda peril kink and they want you to feel unsafe. *shrug*
Still fun.
@EZE3D The Walking Dead isn't a bad game imo because of its level of interactivity or challenge, it's a bad game because it's apocalypse suffering porn.
Some folks love their apocalypse suffering porn so it's well regarded, but between the two I'd rather watch Mixtape.
@A_i This picture is a solid guide to outlets that rank gameplay as the least important thing about a game. That's very useful to all kinds of people with strong feelings about Mixtape's critical reception. Nice one 👍
@Xbox just because you're personally into an vaguely interactive slideshow with an expensive soundtrack and got a sweet bag of loot from the publisher doesn't make it an actual 10/10 game.
@americanmcgee There's plenty of room for all kinds of interactive experiences, it's the way "game" journalists are roundly glazing a product that is barely a game that sits poorly with me.
That said, the scores given will work well for many as a personal gauge of outlet relevance.
@MichiMochievee A suit? Nice! Now you've gotta wear some sexy ladies' underwear beneath to mimic the manliest bros who like the feel of lace against their skin in the board meetings😉
@SatisfactoryCN@Omnifarious0@SatisfactoryAF Choosing their April 1st joke to reply to and mock a subset of noisy malcontents (and less directly, a whole gender) instead of something fun and neutral that everyone could get a chuckle out of was definitely a choice.
