@joeredmond52 @irishexaminer Regardless of money, there are very few psychologists who will work with under 12's, those that do are booked out for months, at the moment when anyone under 18 has any mental health problems, even if you have the money to pay privately, they often are booked out for months.

@Mickmac3210 @irishexaminer Unfortunately very few psychologists will see under 12's, my son is 2 years 4 months into a wait I was told would be 4 to 5 years this time last year when he was out of school, I eventually got a psychologist to see him during the summer but most wouldn't work with him.

@Toibin1 Lots of reasons for it, the hpat takes up a huge amount of time for leaving cert students, the test is usually run around the time Pre's are done in school too so most leaving cert students wanting to do the leaving cert have to forsake their pre's to be able to do the hpat.
