Now add global warming and its lifespan get much more unpredictable.

I work with archives, 100 is only on specialised archive environment.

On your house with decent conditions you can expect 80 years maximum.

With 50 being the median , 20 if its low quality one.

If 100 was the rule dvd would be a much smaller headache to archive
