College Day at Cora Rice Elementary School, and I had an amazing time speaking with first graders about my college experience and sharing valuable insights with them. These incredibly bright young minds engaged in thoughtful conversations on a range of topics—from social sciences, math, pi day, and coding to self-love practices and even the presidential election and today’s political climate.
The discussion about politics was sparked by a curious student who wanted to understand more about the recent federal worker layoffs. Walking into this experience, I never expected to have such deep and well-articulated conversations with first graders, but it was truly eye-opening. Our children absorb knowledge and information at an advanced level, and today was a reminder of just how inquisitive and capable they are.
I am grateful to have participated in this event and to have had the opportunity to inspire and be inspired by these young scholars. The future is bright, and I look forward to more moments like this!
