Today, I left only the retort curry and had dinner alone first, and when my husband came home from work and my daughter came home from school, they said "let's talk."
They said "I don't understand why you're angry, so I want you to tell me," so I told them about the meal.
They said "it's okay to eat curry for a week" with a grin, so that's why. If they continue to say that rice is bad and they don't care about leftovers and don't care about anything, I won't cook meals for them for the rest of my life. I said "it's fine to eat retort curry all the time, isn't it?"οΏΌ
I came across a question that stayed with me longer than I expected: Whatβs the opposite of love?
Most people would immediately say hate.
Iβm no longer sure thatβs true.
Hate still demands your attention. It keeps someone in your thoughts. It carries emotion, energy and investment. In a strange way, hate can keep a connection alive long after love has disappeared.
Maybe the true opposite of love isnβt hate.
Maybe itβs indifference.
The moment you stop caring whether someone stays or leaves, succeeds or fails, smiles or cries, youβve reached a place where the emotional bond has quietly dissolved. There is no fight left, no desire to explain, no need to win, no urge to be understood. Justβ¦ nothing.
That made me wonder if love and hate are actually closer to each other than we think. Both can consume your mind. Both can influence your decisions. Both can make you lose sleep.
Indifference does neither.
Perhaps thatβs why some relationships donβt truly end when people start arguing. They end when silence becomes easier than conversation and absence no longer creates a void.
So maybe weβve been asking the wrong question all along.
The opposite of love may not be hate.
It may be the day someone becomes emotionally invisible to you.
What do you think? Is the opposite of love really hate, or is it something much quieter?
