Unpopular opinion but blaming a crime on postpartum psychosis is like a man blaming his testosterone for rape. Hormones aren't an excuse for horrific acts. The victims are 3 innocent babies. Enough of this crap.
Ya notaron que ahora que EE.UU. ha robado todo el oro y el petróleo de Venezuela ya no hay lanchas de drogas y todos los problemas del país han desaparecido mágicamente de las noticias?
Full grown adults that can’t swim, cycle, skate, backpack, take a gap year, vacation, play an instrument or speak multiple foreign languages. Just a lifetime of hustling and trying to leave survival mode. These are subtle poverty metrics that no one really talks about
Worth noting that China had gunpowder weapons and naval fleets many centuries before Europe, but they never made any serious attempt to enslave or colonise the world. Perhaps they are better custodians of these new technologies.
Are some of you honestly still too scared to call this shit out? Are you honestly worried about how someone who thinks like this....or supports someone like this....thinks of you? You are worried about your job? Anyone who supports this should be worried about THEIR job and place in the world. Don't give in to tyranny!!!!!
Dennis Ritchie created C in the early 1970s without Google, Stack Overflow, GitHub, or any AI ( Claude, Cursor, Codex) assistant.
- No VC funding.
- No viral launch.
- No TED talk.
- Just two engineers at Bell Labs. A terminal. And a problem to solve.
He built a language that fit in kilobytes.
50 years later, it runs everything.
Linux kernel. Windows. macOS.
Every iPhone. Every Android.
NASA’s deep space probes.
The International Space Station.
> Python borrowed from it.
> Java borrowed from it.
> JavaScript borrowed from it.
If you have ever written a single line of code in any language, you did it in Dennis Ritchie’s shadow.
He died in 2011.
The same week as Steve Jobs.
Jobs got the front pages.
Ritchie got silence.
This Legend deserves to be celebrated.
Sinead O’Connor revealed a network of pedophiles and their protectors in 1992. She was a victim herself and to protest ripped up a photo of John Paul II that ended her career. We now have a circulating photo of John Paul II blessing Epstein. She was right all the time.
Just another news story, as usual.
We are so accustomed to Africans dying that we barely even flinch when hundreds of our people dies.
If this happened in Europe, we would see “Pray for Europe” plastered all over social media by the same Africans. Free Palestine hashtags everywhere, but hardly any outrage when our own people die.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with showing solidarity with other people. But charity, as they say, begins at home.
Until a child dying in Sudan, South Africa, Zambia, the DRC, Nigeria, or anywhere else in Africa becomes a concern to other Africans; until the plight of people in the South becomes a concern to those in the West, until what troubles the East troubles the North, we remain far from achieving genuine continental liberation and unity.
African lives must matter to Africans.
