@NextGenPlayer We'll see the effects of this decision in four or five years. And when @Sony realizes the mistake they made, it will be too late to fix it.
If the future is only digital, the only viable option is the PC.
@RinoTheBouncer It's the kind of thing you can't argue with, you just have to let it happen. The moment these people have games removed from their accounts by Sony, that's when they'll start complaining about the lack of a physical disc.
@CampeonYt66158@Coinvo It's quite convenient that I've already lost a game from my PlayStation account, I think this is great, it's very good to have invested money only to have the game removed from the account later.
@Pirat_Nation Since Sony has already started removing games from my account, I'll definitely stick with PC; I'd have to be incredibly stupid to consider another of their consoles in the future.
@Pirat_Nation To my surprise, today I went to download Barman Arkham City to play again on my PS3 and the game disappeared from my account, as if I never had the game.
Sony simply removed the game from my account; other games were probably removed as well.
@nevercansee_520@Pirat_Nation I simply don't buy games for Playstation anymore. If I want a game, I buy it on Steam because if the future is going to be entirely digital, Steam is the only option.
@Zuby_Tech Give up already. If Sony wants to be 100% digital so badly, let them be. The hope is that people will stop being stupid and seize the opportunity to embrace PC gaming.
@Pirat_Nation@Sony@PlayStation Going in the opposite direction of having customers, I've owned every Playstation up to the PS4, stayed far away from the PS5, and I'm definitely not going to buy a PS6 also. You'd have to be incredibly stupid to buy another Sony console Nowadays.
I'm seeing a lot of people pushing back against, or straight up denying the rumor that Sony is moving away from PC.
For those who are unaware, the reports indicate Sony no longer plans to release their internally developed single player games (Ghost of Yotei, Saros, Wolverine etc...)on PC, but instead keep them fully exclusive to their console.
However, Multiplayer live service (Marathon, Horizon Hunters Gathering etc...) and second party exclusives (Death Stranding 2, Kena 2 etc...) are still planned to release on PC. Also keep in mind there are multiple credible insiders reporting this. They are sourced, not just made up by random users.
So when you see Nixxes Software's description on PlayStation's website stating they still do PC ports, that's why.
