Jean’s son had arranged to sell a watch on Facebook Marketplace.

The buyer came to their own home in South Bend, Indiana.

Police say that 18-year-old buyer, John Ford, pulled out a gun, said “I need it,” and tried to rip the watch out of the son’s hands.

Jean did what a mother does… she stepped BETWEEN them.

She put herself in front of the gun and chased him off her property.

Then, police say, surveillance video shows the coward turning and firing at her MULTIPLE TIMES as she turned around and ran back toward her house.

He sh0t her in the head.

He threw the gun over a fence and ran.

Jean Gragg sadly passed away.

He is now charged with M*RDER.

🚨#BREAKING: Outrage is erupting in Missouri after a foster mother who TRADED A CHILD FOR A MONKEY...

...will spend exactly ZERO DAYS IN PRISON!!!!

Yes, you read that right.

She shipped a girl off to a stranger's home in Texas in exchange for an EXOTIC MONKEY...

...and a judge handed her 7 YEARS in prison, then suspended EVERY. LAST. DAY. OF. IT!!!!

She walked out of that courtroom a FREE WOMAN.

Her name is Brenda Deutsch, she's 70 years old.

Prosecutors say she fostered more than TWO HUNDRED CHILDREN over the last two decades.

Deutsch sent one of her foster girls to a home in Texas, a home she admitted in court she knew NOTHING about.

In return, prosecutors say, she got a monkey. She already had at least seven of them.

That little girl was then passed from stranger to stranger in Texas. And when someone asked why she wasn't coming back home to Missouri, prosecutors say Deutsch's answer was that she "did not want her back."

The warnings were there.

There was an abuse hotline call about that house back in 2024. A teacher noticed the girl kept missing school.

But the prosecutor revealed that despite those hotline calls, not a SINGLE police report ever reached his office.

She was eventually rescued by Child Protective Services.

So after all of it, the abuse, the trade, the child nobody "wanted back," here is the price Brenda Deutsch pays:

Basically nothing.

No prison.

Three years of probation and she will never sees the inside of a cell for this if she keeps "out of trouble"

That is what a child is worth in this system?!!!

Simple probation.

A woman entrusted with 200 children who traded a girl traded like livestock with documented abuse, and ignored hotline calls.

And the punishment... is that she gets to go home.

A 17-year-old girl sat in that courtroom this week and watched the woman who did this to her walk free.

Even now, even after ALL of this....

...the state left the foster license in her hands, THANKFULLY the judge did one good thing and revoked her license on the spot.

If THIS is only worth probation, what exactly do you have to do to a child in Missouri to actually go to prison?!!!!

Say a prayer for that girl tonight.

A 29 year-old Algerian asylum seeker walked in a restaurant with a knife, grabbed a woman at the till and held the blade to her throat.

He dragged her, they fell, and when customers and staff tried to stop him he started cutting.

Four people were wounded. One more seriously than the others.

Guys, do you understand? This man came to Italy seeking international protection.

My country is supposed to protect him while he goes around putting a knife to people’s throats.

Her name was Jaymalyn.

Three months old. A tiny baby who should have known nothing but warm bottles, soft blankets, lullabies and the safety of being held in someone’s arms.

Instead, according to police, the first time she was left alone with her father would be the last.

Before Jaymalyn left with Curtis Jenkins, 24, her grandmother reportedly recorded a video of her — simply to document that the baby was healthy when she left.

Hours later, Jaymalyn was unconscious.

Jenkins allegedly claimed she had been left in a hot vehicle too long.

But at the hospital, doctors discovered injuries far more horrific: broken ribs, retinal hemorrhaging, a spinal bleed and three separate brain bleeds.

And then investigators heard the security-camera audio.

That may be the part that breaks my heart the most.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Jaymalyn can be heard crying while her father allegedly tells his own three-month-old daughter:

“Yeah, I’m torturing you.”

Then investigators reportedly heard him screaming at her to “SHUT UP!”

They heard loud thuds.

Smacking sounds.

And the cries of a helpless little baby in pain.

Until his tone suddenly changed:

“Oh, s—. You good? Oh, s—.”

No. She wasn’t good.

She was a three-month-old baby.

She couldn’t crawl away.

She couldn’t call Grandma.

She couldn’t tell Mommy what happened.

She couldn’t understand why the person who was supposed to protect her was allegedly hurting her.

She could only cry.

Jaymalyn was rushed to Riley Hospital for Children, but three days later, on July 21, 2026, she died.

Her mother is now left with the unimaginable task of living the rest of her life without her baby girl.

And one sentence keeps haunting me:

This was reportedly the first time Jaymalyn had ever been left alone with her daddy.

A baby should never have to be afraid of her father’s voice.

A baby should never have to cry for mercy.

And a three-month-old baby should NEVER have injuries like these.

Jaymalyn had barely begun her life.

She deserved birthdays.
First steps.
First words.
Christmas mornings.
School pictures.
A childhood.

She deserved to grow up.

Instead, her family has to bury her.

Remember her name. Remember her little face.

The Lindsay Clancy story reminds me of when Zoe was my little pumpkin head and I took her down to the hospital to see her baby brother, who was dehydrated in the hospital with a viral infection. As we were leaving she asked me what this building across the street called “Planned Parenthood” meant. I figured if she was old enough to ask the right question, she was old enough for the right answer. So I told her. Not in graphic but general terms. I’ll never forget her reaction.

“Why would moms do that to their babies,” she asked as she started crying. I cried with her. Dads, your job is to give your children a sense of justice from the beginning. And then model that accountability in the home, starting with yourself.

Today, Zoe is a beautiful young woman who takes care of as many babies as she can as a preschool teacher, and she desperately wants a family of her own one day.
