There are former McDonalds All-Americans that never make it and former D3 players getting paid to play the game! Never stop working and don’t let a level define you!
Just watched @Superman.....or I should say SUPERBOY. The title should have been Luthor VS Mr. Terrific. It was like watching what marvel did to the Hulk. Nerfed, weak, and dumb.
Coaches aren’t in the business of begging players to get in the gym/go to camps, but if you don’t, then don’t come later looking for playing time. It doesn’t work that way. Players get playing time by earning it. If you don’t earn it, save yourself the trouble of wishing for it!
@Jb_505 1. They don't understand development and regret it later. 2. They know they won't really do the sport later on in life. 3. They are just truly losers who need that to feel good.
Sad sad stuff.
Some parents would rather their kid sit the bench and/or not touch the ball and the team win instead of ha ing their kid play the majority of the game and touch the ball plenty in a loss. I just don't get it.
Running a 2-3 zone in youth basketball stunts defensive and offensive growth, kills the fun, builds bad habits, and doesn’t teach kids how to actually play the game.
This is a FACT. How you use a player is super important, not just for the team but the player themselves. Know what you have and utilize them properly.
