Digital Foundry has released an article on the Monster Hunter Wilds DLC drama.

• They confirm that it's an issue
• The issue seems to mainly affect hub areas and mid-range CPUs are affected more
• Upon entering the camp, the game had checked for DLC 'thousands upon thousands of times' in under a minute, adding to CPU load
• The mod improved CPU performance by up to 25% on lowest settings
• A different version of the 'Less DLC' mod has been released publicly
• Seems to be a bug, not an intentional feature

@itsfoss It was installing Ubuntu to revive an old laptop around 2011. It took a little to learn how it was different to Windows, but it has been great ever since. I’d recommend people wary of Linux try it, especially Linux Mint.

I don’t know what you are thinking @AMD. Ending driver support for Gen 1 & 2 RDNA is completely unacceptable.

When you have 5-10% market share, ending driver support will kill any further customer support who wanted AMD.

I believe the tragedy in Texas shows everyone should heed warnings. People roll their eyes when a warning is broadcasted. It might be nothing but life impacting. Sadly, if warnings were ignored, may it be a lesson to help save lives in the future. Prayers to all those impacted.

Hi @CapcomUSA_ @monsterhunter Do better. 2 monsters, Lagi is a welcome return. Seregios recently appeared in Rise. Arch Tempered Uth is not exciting nor a Mizutsune challenge. This isn't not enough through September.

@IbSilent Pent up frustration for a title players were excited for that finally broke. Performance is awful for a game that doesn’t look much better than World, made worse with the Akuma update. I think it’s justified and Capcom has taken notice. Make or break for them.

Average height for men is 5’8”, Women are 5’3” with awful spatial awareness so just lie and say you are 6’. Tinder should implement a weight filter for men to use on women in response but I doubt that will happen.

The change will allow women to generally filter out men below their preferred height.
