@cobrownell@AustinDahu@bigseb31213 Yeah, I thought it was a bit silly too until I tried one of these varieties of grapes in China that has a skin so thick it’s borderline inedible
@SimbaYoyo Imagine a team pursuit style event where both cars from two teams are released ~half a lap apart. Matchups are in championship order. Whoever does 3 laps in the shortest combined time wins.
This is a wildly impractical idea, but i kinda like it the more I think about it.
@candyclaws I would kill for a hat ever since I lost my favourite band merch hat on a trip.
Shirt is always a reliable pick. Having one other color option besides black is always appreciated.
@Kharn_300BO@j2ko_@McMasterDaily I don’t see a callout for flatness on the drawing. Please submit an engineering change request form and a member of our team will follow up out within 3-5 weeks. Thanks!
@Robotbeat@DJSnM Then the question becomes is there any plan/trajectory we can choose that minimizes harmful outcomes if the redirect fails part way through or the delta-v is less than expected.
@Robotbeat@DJSnM It’s more a question of “what if the redirect doesn’t go to plan?” E.g. we send the PPE module out there but it fails after a week, having only moved the impact site onto another country.
Not saying that would ever happen but it’s an interesting hypothetical.
@7amzilton I watched Minecraft YouTubers VintageBeef and KurtJMac play through F1 2013, and I remembering thinking it was unlike any other racing game I’d ever seen. And the sounds were also unlike any car I’d ever heard before.
@mishy_the_fishy@McMasterDaily It the clock is NIST certified, I imagine it would just be for its ability to hold time. The operator can set it to whatever time they want, but check back in 24 hours and the clock should read the same time to within X seconds. Something like that
@ElBuenPingocho@HKlotsofnumbers @maximumpower55 @wearetherace Rephrase the question, why should we NOT change the wording if it:
a) is easy to do (literally just words on a page)
b) harms no one
Unless you just don’t want to see women in Motorsport. If that is your opinion, then at least I can follow your line of reasoning.
@ElBuenPingocho @maximumpower55 @HKlotsofnumbers@wearetherace But it doesn’t apply to everyone involved. Female drivers have had race starts, scored points, and taken part in numerous FP1 sessions. Unless you think the fact that there are no active female drivers means the rule book should completely ignore their existence…
@mf_tomb@Vonsuss@GreenTextRepost But this is not how they do it. They would curve the grades to get the required pass%. And ideally make the test hard enough that it gets curved up, not down. No one is dumb enough to arbitrarily hand out zeros depending on when they hand in their test.
