٢٩ تشرين الأول ٢٠٢٦، ببركة صاحب الغبطة الكاردينال بييرباتيستا بيتسابالا، بطريرك القدس للاتين، جرى افتتاح القسم الجديد الخاص بجراحة الأطفال النهارية في مستشفى كاريتاس للأطفال في بيت لحم، وذلك بحضور عدد من رؤساء الكنائس وممثليها، إلى جانب شخصيات دينية ومدنية واعتبارية، وأعضاء الطاقمين الطبي والإداري للمستشفى، وتأتي هذه الخطوة في إطار رسالة مستشفى كاريتاس للأطفال الإنسانية والطبية، والتزامه المتواصل بتقديم الرعاية الصحية للأطفال وتعزيز الخدمات الطبية المقدمة لهم ولعائلاتهم، بما يسهم في تلبية احتياجاتهم الصحية وتوفير رعاية متخصصة في بيئة آمنة وإنسانية.

On Thursday, October 29, 2026, the new Pediatric Surgery Unit at Caritas Baby Hospital in Bethlehem was officially inaugurated by His Beatitude Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem.
The blessing ceremony brought together Church leaders and their representatives, religious and civil authorities, distinguished guests, and members of the hospital’s medical and administrative staff.
The inauguration marks an important step in the hospital’s mission to provide quality healthcare, expanding its capacity to offer specialized pediatric surgical services while ensuring compassionate care for children and support for their families in a safe and welcoming environment.

في مقرّ فرسان القبر المقدّس في إيطاليا، التقى السيد جوني زيدان، الوكيل العام للبطريركية اللاتينية في القدس، بالسفير ليوناردو فيسكونتي دي مودروني، الحاكم العام للفرسان، في اجتماع بحثا خلاله سُبل تعزيز التعاون استنادًا إلى مخرجات اجتماع المجلس الأعلى الذي عُقد في بومبي، حيث تناول اللقاء أولويات العمل الخيري في الأرض المقدسة، ولا سيّما المبادرات الإنسانية والرعوية، وتمكين الشباب من خلال مدارس البطريركية، كما بحث الجانبان سُبل توجيه الموارد بفعالية نحو المجالات الأكثر إلحاحًا وأولوية.

During an in-depth meeting at the headquarters of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, Governor General Ambassador Leonardo Visconti di Modrone and Johny Zeidan, Chief Executive Officer of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between their respective offices in Rome and Jerusalem, building on the outcomes of the Grand Magisterium’s meeting in Pompeii. The discussion focused on the priorities of charitable work in the Holy Land, particularly humanitarian and pastoral initiatives, as well as the education and formation of young people in the Patriarchate’s schools. The discussion also addressed ways to improve the efficiency of resource allocation in line with the highest priorities.

«صلاة أبنائنا تقرع أبواب السماء»

طوال شهر تشرين الأول، شهر المسبحة الوردية، شارك طلبة مدارس البطريركية اللاتينية في مبادرة «مليون طفل يصلّون المسبحة الوردية»، استجابةً لدعوة قداسة البابا لاون الرابع عشر، وضمن أنشطة مكتب التعليم المسيحي التابع للبطريركية اللاتينية. وقد اجتمع الطلبة للصلاة، كلٌّ في مدرسته، سواء في الصفوف الدراسية أو الكنائس الرعوية، متّحدين في رفع صلواتهم إلى الله من أجل السلام في العالم والمصالحة والتوبة.

وبهذه المناسبة، توجّه الأب ريمون حداد، مسؤول مكتب التعليم المسيحي، بالشكر والتقدير إلى إدارات المدارس ومعلّميها وطلبتها على تجاوبهم مع هذه الدعوة الروحية ومشاركتهم في الصلاة، مؤكدًا أهمية تنشئة الأجيال على الإيمان والصلاة من أجل السلام.

“Our Children’s Prayers Knock on Heaven’s Door”

Throughout October, the month of the Holy Rosary, students from Latin Patriarchate schools participated in the “One Million Children Praying the Rosary” initiative, responding to the invitation of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV. Organized as part of the activities of the Christian Education Office of the Latin Patriarchate, students gathered in their respective schools, classrooms, and parish churches, united in prayer for peace, reconciliation, and repentance throughout the world.

On this occasion, Fr. Raymond Haddad, Director of the Christian Education Office, expressed his gratitude to school administrations, teachers, and students for embracing this spiritual initiative, highlighting the importance of nurturing younger generations in faith and prayer for peace.

الأحد ٢٥ تشرين الأول ٢٠٢٦، قدّم غبطة الكاردينال بييرباتيستا بيتسابالا، بطريرك القدس للاتين، وسموّ الأمير غازي بن محمد واجب العزاء لغبطة البطريرك ثيوفيلوس الثالث، بطريرك الروم الأرثوذكس، في شهداء كنيسة حمود في الكرك، معربين عن تضامنهم ومواساتهم لعائلات الشهداء، ومشاركين إياهم ألم الفقد، في موقف يجسّد روح التضامن والوقوف إلى جانب العائلات في مصابها الأليم.

On Sunday, October 25, 2026, His Beatitude Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, together with Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad, offered condolences to His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III, Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem, and the families of those killed in the terror attack at Hamoud Church in Karak, Jordan. Their visit was an expression of solidarity and fraternal closeness to the bereaved families and the Greek Orthodox community during this time of profound sorrow.

On Sunday, October 25th, 2026, at the Marian Shrine of Deir Rafat, His Beatitude Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, presided over the solemn Mass for the Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Palestine and of the Holy Land, Principal Patroness of the Diocese, joined by bishops, priests, and a large gathering of knights, dames, and faithful from parishes across the Holy Land, the faithful united in prayer for the eternal rest of the souls of those who lost their lives in the terror attack in Jordan, and for the healing of the injured, expressing their solidarity with those who are mourning this tragedy
