@Mathematical_A would you know of anyone who would be willing to talk to students in my school about careers that use maths? This could be via zoom or teams, but I’m looking for some careers to inspire my classes. Thanks in advance
Looking for a specific Loci activity. Several years ago I had an activity about a school disco which contained a lot of scenarios that the kids had to construct the loci for. Does anyone know it or another fun but challenging loci for a top set year 9 class? TIA
Hi fellow maths teachers. Does anyone know of any published research that shows the benefits to weaker students of doing functional skills/entry level before, or in some cases, instead of GCSE? Thanks
“All schools should provide unrestricted access to a toilet, whenever the need arises. This means no school should have a policy of not allowing learners to use the toilet during lesson times.”

Hi all,
We have too many Associate Assistant’s Associate Assistant Headteachers. Rather than sackings, we’ve decided to have a competition. I’m An SLT Get Me Out Of Here will run next week. Staff will have to do inappropriate “trials”and pupils will get to vote them out.
Thanks x
@EmathsUK What is the name of the document that says that school must inform parents if their child falls behind in maths please? I’ve had a brain fart and can’t find it - want to read it properly. Thanks
A quick question for any of my maths teacher friends out there in Twitterland. Does anyone have any experience with teaching y10 unconfident girls (from co-ed school) in single sex classes. What were the results? @mathsjem@MrMattock@EmathsUK@PixiMaths
@SReffs@growteach I’ve been sending my children to holiday clubs for two or three days a week during the holidays so I can work on next years curriculum, planning, classes etc. I’d love it if we actually got 13 weeks holiday a year!!
