These Nova psychos haven’t made eye contact with a reporter in months and just keep repeating “0-0” over and over like that kid from The Shining. Legitimately terrifying.
Karl-Anthony Towns is asked about how important it would be for the Knicks to take a 2-0 lead in the series:
"I don't think of anything like that. It's 0-0, the next game is the most important game of the year."
"I think our mindset was 0-0, not being up 1-0. Even with what the series is now, next game, the mindset has to be 0-0 again. It's how it has to be. You can't be comfortable, you can't be satisfied with anything."
- Jalen Brunson
Let this be a life lesson. No matter what you did in your past, it means nothing. When you wake up in the morning the score is 0-0. Another chance to be better.
Longest playoff win streaks in NBA history:
• 2017 Warriors — 15 straight wins
• 2026 Knicks — 13 straight wins
Mike Brown was on the coaching staff for both 🤯
Mike Brown on Jalen Brunson:
"He’s a gamer, man. In the biggest moments, he shows up. That's what MVPs are supposed to do. We put the ball in his hands, said we were going to live and die with him, he went and got it done for us."
Shoutout to Jose Alvarado won’t get much credit today but he mattered.
Shoutout to Hart on the boards.
Shoutout to Brunson for closing it out like always.
Shoutout to Towns for keeping us in it.
Shoutout to Shamet just doing what he does big much needed 3’s.
Shoutout to OG for that solo run that flipped everything.
& Shoutout to Mitch for just for being a presence.
We stole that one and that’s what it takes to win a championship. Nothing is given. You gotta take it.
One down, three to go!
What a very very entertaining Game One! Jalen Brunson was too much to handle for the Spurs tonight, scoring 13 of his 30 points in the 4th quarter! It was a great coaching move by New York Knicks Head Coach Mike Brown to put Landry Shamet on the floor in the 4th quarter. His 3-point shooting ability gave Brunson more room to operate. Josh Hart played with heart tonight, leading both teams in rebounding with 15 boards, 4 big steals and 6 assists!
The Spurs just played too much isolation basketball in the 4th quarter, and it was a key reason they lost.
@KLChouinard Mike Brown has accomplished so much in these playoffs.
Convinced KAT to play defense.
Convinced KAT to play like Jokic, sometimes.
Convinced Brunson to play off-ball, sometimes.
Convinced the rest of the Knicks that the time is now.
I think he’s punched his HOF ticket.
@Joe1111621756@KeeganBrown2026@spurs@FrostBank And that's what I've been telling people the Spurs can have a 7 ft 5 killer but the Knicks have Mike brown, and veterans that know how to control a game late
I don't watch a lot of NBA but if the rest of this series plays out the way game 1 did Mike Brown deserves a statue for the way they are playing Wemby #nbafinals#knicks
