Yesterday the YAB supported with creating content which will be played on all tv screens in LPT CAMHS bases! A great session with lots of amazing ideas, thanks to everyone who attended 🌟

Last night at YAB we had Cara and Becky from Occupational Therapy within CAMHS attend YAB for support in creating documents explaining what OT’s are, and how the assessments work! We’re looking forward to next Tuesday, when YAB attends the LLR Youth Summit.
It’s World Mental Health Day. At the YAB mental health is a topic our members are eager to raise awareness around and help to improve these services for young people. Look after yourselves, and remember everyone deserves help 🩵
Additionally, last night we also had Mhorag Duff - Consultant Community Paediatrician at LPT attend to get thoughts and ideas on her new research project - the use of empathy with ADHD patients
Last night at the YAB we had David Williams and Alison Gilmour attend to obtain the YAB’s thoughts and ideas in shaping the new 2025 strategy for NHFT + LPT!
Moving up or changing schools is a big change for children, parents, carers and grandparents.

Hi, I’m Georgia (she/her) and i’ve now taken over the YAB twitter as i chair the YAB as a Lived Experience Partner (LEP). The YAB is on break until 6th August and then we have some exciting upcoming guests so keep an eye out and stay tuned on here! have a great summer ☀️
Great session tonight facilitated by the East Midland health innovation leads, sharing with @LptYab the use of VR headsets for young people to use in health settings. The board had great ideas how these could be used and considerations for YP who are neurodiverse
Last night at @LptYab we welcomed Gemma from CAMHS who shared feedback from a recent estates survey YAB had been involved in developing. The board are further supporting the service to develop questions for staff interviews over the next few weeks brainstorming session pending!
Thank you to Emma for joining us from CAMHS services last night to share updates and get our views and suggestions on the development of some trans awareness videos, it is great to have been involved with this project from the start and see the progress made!
