Good morning Slicer fam! Itโs finally game day! Itโs been a long winter but we made it. The Slicers start their season on the road against highly ranked Penn. First pitch at 5 pm.
Long time New Prairie football assistant Bill Gumm is officially a Slicer after the school board approved his hiring as LaPorteโs offensive coordinator Monday.
Sorry to hear Chip Jones and Steve Manering will no longer be broadcasting LaPprte football, boys basketball and baseball games. The coverage and the guys are a community staple. Status of the stationโs coverage sounds as if it will depend on being able to get people to do
It.
Slicers win a thriller over SB Adamโs 5-4! @RBruemmer2024 had a double and an RBI. @bendubbs752076@drewcatron21 and Braxton Maxfield added a hit as well. C.T. Rusboldt gets the win on the hill.
La Porte's Tayshaun Williams broke school records in the 100 (10.76) and 200 (21.68) and anchored the 1,600 relay (3:24.42) to another first in the Duneland meet. WIllie Clay won the 400 (49.85) and the Slicers' 400 relay was second. Best sprint showing ever by LP at the DACs.
Big news for La Porte Community School Corporation! ๐ Board President Ryan Seaburg and Board Member Jim Arnold have won the Exemplary Governance Award from the Indiana School Boards Association. ๐
