@MV_Raffa@RAWRLABGames I read this sort of thing as "We're licensing our code in this project as MIT, but you still have to abide by the license terms of both Godot (MIT) and Nintendo (Proprietary)." That means RAWRLAB won't go after you for sharing it, but Nintendo might.
@__silent_ I also suspect (but haven't tested) that the retail un-cracked version doesn't work with Vista+ due to its DRM, though, so I don't think it's just a Steam release thing.
@__silent_ IIRC, the crash happens in the retail crack when trying to start a race. There's a DRM callback in the mode switch function where the stack execution obfuscation occurs in the retail crack. I'm not surprised the steam .bind section causes issue too, though.
@__silent_ There's a version of the MC2 exe out there I made (with OpenSpy) that not only gets DEP working again, but also has a working .reloc section, allowing you to use Windows settings to force ASLR (which I recommend, because there's already one known buffer overflow in the game).
@__silent_ Having done RE work on MC2, I can 100% confirm that the Vista compatibility issues come entirely from the crack (mostly it executing code off the stack for obfuscation), and I was able to crack the crack to get Vista compatibility working again.
@__silent_@rollschuh2282 I can confirm that the main steam executable was a separate compilation from the original box release. The function that handles switching game modes has notable binary differences between the versions (and is also the only function with a DRM callback in the box release).
@TeamYouTube I checked on the account again today, and it seems like the issue is now resolved, as it's showing as verified on YouTube now. Thank you so much for looking into this for me. π
@TeamYouTube I did the "Video Verification" to get access to the "Advanced Features" on my new brand channel, but despite it showing as verified BOTH on my Google Account and my main brand channel, my new brand channel still shows it as "Pending." How can I fix this?
@TeamYouTube Sure. Below are screenshots of both the feature eligibility page of my brand channel showing the status as pending, and my google account page (following the link for "You can delete it at any time in your Google Account") showing the status as verified.
@TeamYouTube Just to clarify, you're suggesting that I delete my current video verification and submit another one? I don't see a way to submit verification again without first deleting the original. I just want to make sure I'm not making a mistake deleting the current verification video.
@TeamYouTube It's been about 48 hours since I submitted the verification, and it's showed up as "verified" on my account for about 24 hours now. It just hasn't shown up on my brand channel or given me access to the advanced features.
@JimSterling Probably the funniest thing I found in all of this is this: Valve apparently never tested having a dev banned from their game's discussions, and he was able to unban himself both times he got banned.
@vpromdev I noticed the version of Crow Story on Itch seems to be an older build than the version on Steam. Are there plans to update the Itch release of the game to the version on Steam?
@rashiq As someone who is colorblind, could you PLEASE change the colors of the dots on mcbroken and/or add the text "broken" or "working" when I click on a location? As it currently is, the site is nearly unusable for me.
Thank you to everyone who watched EZScape SM64 TAS Competition! I really enjoyed putting that on for everybody. BTW check out the compilation vid of tasks 1-3 https://t.co/IdyAg17Npq
@Trufflemubb I feel like this is likely just poor wording on the message.
Your interpretation: "The video gets more views when recommended"
Possible intention: "The video's clicks-to-ignore-ratio in recommends is better than average"
My interpretation: "People clicked for thumbnail boobs"
