At 10:00 a.m., Thai military forces used T-50 fighter aircraft to drop four bombs into a residential village where civilians were living, located in Banan District, Battambang Province.
Destroying a Hindu deity’s statue under the pretext of a border dispute is unacceptable. Whether placed by Cambodia or not, attacking faith and heritage only exposes intolerance.
Both Thailand and Cambodia are Buddhist nations, yet history records repeated persecution of Hindu temples and attempts to erase them. Violence against sacred symbols cannot be whitewashed with slogans. No religion proves its “peace” by destroying another’s faith.

BREAKING: Cambodia’s Defense Ministry said a Thai T-50 fighter jet dropped four bombs near Phnom Sampov, a popular tourist destination in Banon district, Battambang Province, at around 10:00 a.m. The strikes hit civilian locations and civil infrastructure after Thai forces crossed into the area, causing chaos at a nearby school where the explosions could be clearly heard.
At 10:00 am (December 24, 2025), the Thai military used T-50 fighter jets to drop four bombs into a civilian residential area deep into Cambodian sovereign territory in Banan district, Battambang province, along the route to Pailin Province, before continuing toward Chanthaburi Province. The T-50 is an aircraft manufactured in South Korea. So far, the Thai military has used three types of aircraft—made in the United States, Sweden, and South Korea—to carry out attacks on Cambodia.”

We need peace ☮️ we’re small country , we never want war. Thailand please stop 🛑 Your government just lie to you they don’t care about their people they only care about their power 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 #JusticeForCambodia#thaiopenedfirefirst
I had a very good conversation this morning with the Prime Minister of Thailand, Anutin Charnvirakul, and the Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hun Manet, concerning the very unfortunate reawakening of their long-running War. They have agreed to CEASE all shooting effective this evening, and go back to the original Peace Accord made with me, and them, with the help of the Great Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim. The roadside bomb that originally killed and wounded numerous Thai Soldiers was an accident, but Thailand nevertheless retaliated very strongly. Both Countries are ready for PEACE and continued Trade with the United States of America. It is my Honor to work with Anutin and Hun in resolving what could have evolved into a major War between two otherwise wonderful and prosperous Countries! I would also like to thank the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, for his assistance in this very important matter.

Thmor Da commune, Veal Veng district, lies along the border with Thailand and is considered an active conflict zone. During this offensive, the Thai military used a full range of combat equipment, including small and heavy weapons, surveillance drones, bomb-dropping drones, naval artillery strikes, and F-16 fighter jets.
Approximately 900 families in Thmor Da commune have been evacuated from their homes. Thmor Da, once a lively tourist area, has now fallen into silence and desolation.

BREAKING: Cambodia Condemns Thai Soldiers for Shooting Civilians
Phnom Penh — The Ministry of National Defense has condemned Thai soldiers for opening fire on Cambodian civilians in Prey Chan village, Banteay Meanchey, around 3:50 p.m. on November 12, injuring five people.
Spokesperson Lt. Gen. Maly Socheata said the attack violated the Cambodia–Thailand Peace Agreement signed on October 26, 2025, under the witness of U.S. President Donald Trump and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
Cambodia called the act “brutal and inhumane,” urging Thailand to halt all hostilities and honor its commitments under the ceasefire and peace declaration. The ministry reaffirmed Cambodia’s pledge to resolve disputes peacefully in line with international law.
🚨 BREAKING NEWS: Michael Alfaro reports live from the Cambodia–Thailand border, where Thai forces have built barbed wire fences, displaced families, and placed weapons facing innocent villagers — including children. Entire communities have been uprooted, schools and temples destroyed, and thousands forced to live in fear.
After President Donald J. Trump called for a ceasefire, 20 Cambodian soldiers were invited to the border under the pretense of peace. Instead, they were kidnapped. Only 2 have been released. 18 soldiers remain in captivity. We are calling on Thailand to release them immediately.
Now, word has reached President Trump directly. He has mandated that Cambodia and Thailand sit down for urgent talks — warning that if they fail to reach an agreement, the United States will pull out of both nations.
And just hours ago, Cambodia confirmed that their first round of talks with Thailand since the war broke out 17 days ago has taken place.
The people of Cambodia deserve peace, dignity, and respect. Farmers and families who want nothing but to live in safety must not be terrorized by aggression.
