@PawTickle@scalyonee1977@Apple@facebook I’ve had mine for 20 years - credit and debit card in my Apple wallet but they still want me to prove I’m over 18. Weird
These increases have happened within the last 6 months - have lived here 4 years and it’s obvious that something isn’t right when £39 per month has left us in credit for the most part since we moved here and all of a sudden £128 a month is needed to cover it.
@stwater@MoneySavingExp Bills have increased from £39 per month to £69 per month to £128 per month with no explanation. Have repeatedly asked for an engineer. Have asked to complain. Have followed leak detection as far as I can. Severn Trent keep fobbing me off
2 adults living here. No sprinklers, no hot tubs, no lavish water parties. Just people showering & doing laundry. Billing is either correct & they don’t want to admit these large price rises or there is a leak that we can’t see that they won’t send an engineer to look at
@Shruggs_1@TheReturnOfLCF@LastBossJoel@Apple The reality for me is that it doesn’t impact anything im doing on my phone. It just has an annoying number 1 in the settings that I can’t clear. Doesn’t impact me so no need to do it unless I want to clear the number 1.
@Shruggs_1@TheReturnOfLCF@LastBossJoel@Apple So it’s a feature built into the phone that checks against what? What are the verifying against? They have my card details already - can’t they check what they have already? Or is there no functionality on the Apple account website thing to do it ?
@Shruggs_1@TheReturnOfLCF@LastBossJoel@Apple I’m not convinced it’s particularly safe. Surely if I verify on Apple website then they could still send a secure token via my Apple ID
@Shruggs_1@TheReturnOfLCF@LastBossJoel@Apple Anything can be hacked - I deal with managing data breaches daily in ny job. So even though Apple say it’s totally secure there’s always a hint of doubt in my mind
@Shruggs_1@TheReturnOfLCF@LastBossJoel@Apple And - as they already have my credit card details on App Store etc - why do they need it again… I’m full of questions - apologies for firing them all at you
@Shruggs_1@TheReturnOfLCF@LastBossJoel@Apple This is somewhat reassuring - but I bank with NatWest and they have online verification on their browser so now concerned that’s not as secure as I thought 🤣
