Ijaws Are Not the Majority in the Niger Delta โ FCT Minister Nyesom Wike
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has stated that the Ijaw ethnic group is not the majority in the Niger Delta, arguing that this is reflected in the political leadership of several states in the region.
According to Wike, no Ijaw person can emerge as governor of Edo, Delta, or Akwa Ibom States, a point he cited while addressing issues relating to the regionโs political dynamics.

Several people have reportedly been k1lled and others !njured following a tragic crash involving a newly delivered Mercedes-Benz and a commercial tricycle (keke) in Ughelli, Delta State.
According to eyewitness accounts, the luxury vehicle, reportedly worth over โฆ100 million, had just arrived from Lagos and was being test-driven by its owner after being transported on a trailer. Witnesses allege that a police officer stopped the vehicle because it had no registration plate and insisted it be taken to the station, despite explanations that it had only just been delivered.
Eyewitnesses further claim that the officer later took control of the vehicle and allegedly crashed it into a commercial tricycle, resulting in multiple fatalities and injuries.
These claims are based on eyewitness reports circulating online and have not been independently verified. Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
Renowned self proclaimed pipeline vandal Asari Dokubo has issued a fresh warning to the people of Edo State, saying the Ijaw people will not be intimidated or forced into silence. His statement comes days after a previous video where he claimed Edo would be their next battleground.
All Edo people are one; Esan and Edo are one people.
His Royal Majesty, Omo NโOba NโEdo Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, today addressed the Okaigheles, emphasizing the need for peace, unity, and security across Edo State. The revered monarch reiterated the importance of harmony among all Edo people and called for collective efforts towards maintaining peace and stability in the state.
Here's another person talking about it. Abuse isn't peculiar to a certain people its just that a certain people made it their culture and made women serv!tudes. I know the pa!n of growing up in that culture but I have allowed the love of Christ to heal me and use that pain to help others and be a positive force. Say Not to Abvse and domestic ViOlence.

Historically, Oba Akenzua II placed vast forest areas in Ovia under the British forest reserve during the colonial era for specific administrative and preservation purposes. These lands were not abandoned or ownerless; they remained part of the territorial domain of the Benin Kingdom under the authority of the Oba.
Therefore, claims of indigenous ownership in ancient Benin communities such as Ughoton should be examined within their historical context. The Ijaw people are an ancient and distinct ethnic nationality with their own ancestral homeland, language, and cultural heritage, just as the Benin people have theirs. Historical interaction, settlement, or coexistence between different peoples does not necessarily erase their separate ethnic identities.
Anambra LG Chairman Sentenced to 5 Years imprisonment Over $3.5 Million Romance Sc@m in U.S
Franklin Ikechukwu Nwadialo, chairman of Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State, has been sentenced to five years in prison in the United States for orchestrating a romance sc@m that defr@uded multiple victims of more than $3.5 million.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Washington, the 42-year-old was sentenced by a federal court in Tacoma after being convicted for operating a long-running online fr@ud scheme that targeted vulnerable individuals through dating platforms.
Nwadialo was arrested in Texas in 2024 upon arriving in the
U.S. and was later charged with 14 counts of wire fr@ud.
During sentencing, U.S. District Judge Tiffany M. Cartwright described the crime as devastating, saying victims suffered severe financial, emotional, and psychological harm.
Prosecutors said Nwadialo spent nearly 15 years deceiving victims by creating fake online identities and posing as a romantic partner. He allegedly targeted older individuals, especially widows and divorcees, convincing them to send money through a series of fabricated stories.
Using aliases such as "Giovanni" on dating platforms including Match, Zoosk, and Christian Cafรฉ, he reportedly claimed to be a military officer deployed overseas and used stolen photographs to support his false identity. Authorities said he solicited funds for fake military fines, family emergencies, funeral expenses, school fees, and investment opportunities.
Investigators revealed that several victims lost their life savings, while one widow reportedly lost her home after selling assets to send him money. Another victim believed she was in a genuine relationship with him for three years before learning the truth through an FBI investigation.
The FBI said Nwadialo built trust with vulnerable individuals seeking companionship before exploiting them financially. The case was investigated by the FBI and prosecuted by federal attorneys Sok Tea Jiang and David T. Martin.
Who don finally see am say na Yoruba and Northerners be the ones causing our problems for this country?
President Tinubu is a father figure to all Nigerians, and insulting him is akin to disrespecting oneโs own father. No father deserves such disregard. Nigerians should continue to pray for President Tinubu and support his efforts toward moving the country forward.
Cursing or insulting leaders is not the solution. Many of the challenges Nigeria faces today existed long before 2023 and cannot be resolved overnight. Progress requires patience, collective effort, and constructive engagement.

Abducted former Kebbi APC chairman d! es in bandits' captivity
A former chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Koko/Besse Local Government Area of Kebbi State, Alhaji Muhammadu Mai Barga Besse, has d'ed in bandits captivity.
LIB reported that Besse was kidnapped alongside a cleric of Jama'atu Izalatil Bid'ah wa Ikamatis-Sunnah (JIBWIS), Alhaji
Muhammad Maibarga.
A disturbing video later surfaced online showing both men being subjected to humiliation by their captors in the Birnin Gwari forest, a notorious hideout for armed bandits operating across parts of northern Nigeria.
Kebbi State Police Command on June 10, confirmed Alhaji Maibarga's death in captivity.
Security and conflict reporter Bakatsine, confirmed the latest development in a post on his X account on Tuesday, June 23.
"DEVASTATING UPDATE: Alhaji Muhammadu Mai Barga Besse, the immediate former APC Chairman of Koko/Besse LGA in Kebbi State, has now also been confirmed dad in captivity," he wrote.
"This means both men seen in the videos released from the Birnin Gwari forest have lost their lives without ever reuniting with their families after their abduction.
He described the incident as a painful reminder of the worsening security challenges confronting communities across northern Nigeria.
"What began as disturbing footage of humiliation has ended in the worst possible tragedy. Two lives gone, two families shattered and more painful questions about the security crisis facing communities across northern Nigeria," Bakatsine added.
The North is a major part of Nigeriaโs problem ๐ณ๐ฌ
Mind you, this man is a Fulani, yet he has failed to hold his own political and traditional elites accountable for the many challenges affecting the country. The silence is always loud until someone points out uncomfortable truths then suddenly, they become defensive.
What is frustrating is the culture of denying obvious failures instead of confronting them. Every region in Nigeria has its own problems and people who should be questioned. Many Igbo voices openly criticize leaders and individuals from their own communities, and the same level of honesty and self criticism should be expected from leaders and citizens across the North and the West.
Nigeria cannot move forward if people keep defending bad leadership or refusing to speak against injustice simply because the people involved are from their own ethnic, regional, or political background. Accountability must come before loyalty, and truth must come before tribe. Youโre angry cuz VDM called your Region out, VDM never made it about tribe, rather it was about a certain region, and I believe that they are different tribes in the northern region, so tell me why these people feel attacked by VDMโs video.
