I took an oath as an officer in the United States Air Force to serve my Commander in Chief. My allegiance to that oath has not wavered in my 28 years of service.

The President has endorsed another candidate in CD1 for Congress. It is not congruent with my assignments in life to actively campaign against a candidate endorsed by my Commander in Chief.

I am grateful President Trump called and spoke with me personally. He was complimentary of my service to this nation and discussed other opportunities to serve within the administration.

Today, I will continue serving this great nation in uniform as a commander in the Oklahoma Air National Guard and serving as the founder and CEO of Folds of Honor.

To every volunteer, donor, and patriot who stood with this campaign, thank you. A special thank you to the veterans that supported and encouraged me. Your belief in this mission meant everything.

Service never stops, and neither will we.

We checked into The Jefferson in Washington DC and there was a copy of my book on the table with a note from their Director of Rooms asking me to sign and dedicate it to their collection.

I call those God affirmations and I live for them.

Every single one of us has been touched by this disease in some way.

The purpose of life is living a life of purpose and if we can show up to support the people fighting this battle we are going to show up every time.

What is happening in Iran right now is exactly why Oklahoma energy independence cannot wait.

Every barrel we pull out of this Oklahoma red dirt should be creating jobs right here at home.

Not pumped downstream to other states to build their industry while we watch the opportunity pass us by.

Affordable energy hits every family at the grocery store and the gas pump and it will be a HUGE focus for me if I make it to Congress.

Governor Stitt just signed a bill putting us on the path to becoming a zero income tax state, making sure Oklahoma is a leader on letting working families keep more of what they earn.

It's time D.C. learned from Oklahoma — cut the waste, balance the books, and lower the burden on the people who actually do the work.

I believe those who fought for their country are uniquely equipped to ensure federal funds serve the American people.

This is one of the many reasons I'm running for Oklahoma's 1st Congressional District and why I believe we need more veterans in Washington.

Federal spending stewardship is a must.

They spend $6 million training a single fighter pilot. 2.5 years of the most demanding training on earth starting in Wichita Falls, Texas and ending at Luke Air Force Base in the F-16.

Of the 45 people who start that journey, 95% do not make it through.

I made it through and I'm bringing every lesson I learned straight to Congress.

Three times I walked out the door as a combat fighter pilot and wrote a letter to my wife and kids in case I did not come home.

I put one of those letters in my book Fly Into the Wind.

Not to be dramatic but because I wanted people to understand how deeply those who serve love this country.

There is more horsepower in one F-16 than the entire starting grid of a NASCAR race.

Top speed is 1800 miles an hour.

Tulsa to Oklahoma City in about a minute and a half.

I am strapped into that machine for my first solo ride with every doubt and every critic I have ever had sitting right there with me.

So, I lowered my dark visor and the circus stopped.
